Landon’s Letter

So Sandra got baptized this week which was great! We are really excited for her. Elder Orr baptized her and as they were getting out of the font he went to go into the dressing room. Now the dressing room in this church is the same as the stall to use the toilet and is the only stall to use the toilet. Well as he went into the dressing room there was a homeless man sitting there doing his business. It wasn't even 5 minutes since he had left the dressing room and there was this man.

"Opps I thought this was a public washroom (what they call bathrooms here). he said and he finished and left.

Only in Downtown Hamilton would you run into a situation like this. Honestly that is not uncommon to have well not that specific event but something strange happen like that. We were laughing at it.

This week we have been just busy running around teaching. Honestly! Do any of you remember the demonstration of what my days were back in Windsor? Well my time here is always filled up with teaching. We have a teaching appointment every other hour of the day we so we sometimes barely have time for lunch and dinner. I think it was this past week we had a 30 minute lunch and a 30 minute dinner so it was fun. yesterday we didn't even return home. It was out skills and interviews so we say President and Sister Scott! We left that morning in our suits and then went out and never returned until 8 when we went to get a ward list.

Thanksgiving is a great time of the year. I have so many things to be grateful for. First off I am grateful for the opportunity to have 2 thanksgivings! ;) I am very grateful though for my family, the opportunity I have to serve a mission, and also for the great privilege I have to serve and invite the people here in the Canada Toronto Mission to come to Christ.

So just so you know this year completely made up for last year. We have 3 turkey dinners. I haven't had to cook or make anything for 3 days. We received a turkey Dinner Sunday Night with the Single Adults who invited us. So I saw some people from the Stoney Creek Ward! That was awesome! Then we had a huge turkey lunch at Sister Stahlers home which was sweet. Traditional Thanksgiving and traditional Philippeno food as well. Then we got left overs from another family's turkey dinner as well. Then another family took us out to eat last night to the Mandarin which is a Chinese restaurant. So we were very well fed this year!

Rachel- Man those boys must not have wanted to win then if they just let them win. Oh well. I hope that school is going well. I am glad you helped out with the swimming meet Keep up the great work

Natalie & Jon- I got you card yesterday. It was sweet. I really want to carve a pumpkin this year so I think I will! have a good week with school. Oh when does the NBA season start?

Annie- Holy cow you are busy aren't you! That is awesome. I know that those sisters will really appreciate all that help them with if they allow it! Keep up the awesome work. Man that's not a lot of time is it.

Megan & Justin- When are you pulling out the snowmobiles. Here people call it skidooing. Which is weird right? Are you going hunting this year as well?

Mom- I know the Elders would love that! if you want them there do it quickly. Keep me posted on the new bishopric. Holy cow I haven'e even heard about what Shaun has been doing. When are you going to put up Christmas lights?

Dad- When are you going to Ohio to pick up Annie? wow you will be right across the lake from me haha. Well sorta...ish. Well you get the picture! Are you taking any detours for that flight or are you just heading there and right back?

I love you all.

Love your favorite Elder, Brother, and Son

Elder Landon Webb
