Annie’s Letter

What are you taking? You're unnaturally happy. A recent convert in the Mt. Vernon ward, Chris, asks me that question every time he sees me. I promise, I am not on anything! Just the gospel! This week has been so great! We were on exchanges for like 4 days so that was exhausting but it's good. :-) It's great to be able to learn from the other sisters in our stake. It's super tiring though. It's especially hard because Sister Arnell has started taking sleeping pills so we have to work around those. I feel bad for her. She gets pretty loopy. Just keep her in your prayers that she will be able to get this all figured out. We are hoping she will only have to be on the pills for a month and then she will have trained her body to fall asleep...we'll see. She's pretty funny though. I have some good stories now :-) haha. Anyway, this week was just fantastic. Tuesday we had interviews. When we have interviews we have training as well. So we are in 5 groups and we go to different rotations, one of which is interviews. We were in that one first. So I was waiting in the other room sending all the other missionaries through (Sister Arnell and I were in charge of this group). I sent the Westerville sisters in and then one came back and said "Sister Webb, President wants you first." uh... so I walk back there... and he tells me that Sister Arnell and I are to set the standard for the mission and then asked me to extend. I was floored! So then I walked back into the other room and told Sister Arnell and she jumped out of her chair and tipped it over and fell...it was funny. So for the last 2 weeks I will be going to all the sisters areas in the mission and doing training with them. I'm super excited, it should be a lot of fun. :-) I know I'll learn a lot! So all week Sister Arnell and I were working so hard and it was an INCREDIBLE WEEK! We have seen so many miracles!
Sunday we had 4 people at church, which was awesome! We fasted as a district to have baptisms this month so that we can reach our goal. Ben came up to us and decided that he wanted to get baptized THIS WEEK! He has been on date or a while, for in October. But we talked to his parents last night and set his baptism for Wednesday. His parents are not members but they are totally supportive and have really been encouraging him to keep meeting with us. He gave his dad a tour of the church, we taught his dad the Restoration. He loves it. We aren't teaching them yet, but it will come I'm sure. I am excited for Ben's baptism. They will feel the spirit so strong! I know it will help them to have a desire to come closer to Jesus Christ as well! After sacrament meeting another young girl we are teaching came up to us and told us she wants to get baptized. We have been praying that she will be prepared to be baptized on October 12 and then that happened! She accepted the date! We have an appointment with her on Tuesday so we will talk to her mom. Her mom is actually a former investigator. She loves the church and everything it stands for. She always lets Desiray come to the activities. It was funny, on Wednesday we were over there and then Desiray's biological mom came over and walnted to take her out. Roslyn said No! She's sick, she can't go. So we asked if she could go and Roslyn said yes. haha. She just wants Desiray to be around good people who will lift her up and help her live good standards. She has been to church and baptisms and knows the standards of the church and it is something she wants for her daughter. We're doing really good with youth, we just gotta work on the parents now! The youth in Mt. Vernon are amazing! They are always inviting non members to mutual. For the last 2 weeks there have been 4 non members there. We are so proud of them! Then on Sunday we had a new investigator at church. Her name is Chelsea. She is actually also the daughter of former investigators. She is an adult though. haha. At correlation meeting yesterday we were talking about her and Bro. Groom (the mission leader) said and how old is she? In her 20s... "oh, she's an adult?" yeah... one of the few we are teaching. haha. Anyway, she felt the spirit SOO STRONG when we taught her the Restoration. It was amazing. It was like a role play. Honestly, it was an amazing lesson. It could have been a set up. It went perfect! So she came to church and she LOVED it. The lessons were just what she needed and it was just fabulous! During sacrament meeting Sister Arnell was talking to Chelsea about how he Priesthood holders have to be worthy to pass the sacrament. Law of chastity, word of wisdom, etc. Chelsea said "so I'd have to quit smoking" and Sister Arnell said "yes, if you want to get baptized" and she said "Good thing I've already started to quit!" It was amazing. Then this morning we had a lesson with another former investigator of ours who randomly started coming the the activities and church again and he wants to get baptized! The problem last time was that he lived with his girlfriend...but she moved out! wahoo! So he just has to quit smoking and then we'll get him baptized too! Miracles really are happening! It's amazing to see! NO WONDER I'M "UNNATURALLY HAPPY!"

Mom and Dad- I know just where we will go to church! :-) You'll love it. It will be a once in a lifetime experience...AMISH GROUP! It's awesome! I'm so excited for you to get to meet everyone in Ohio that I love so much! :-) AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR FEBRUARY 8! STYX!!! Don't worry, I'll stay focused :-)

Megan and Justin (and Beaudee..and the dogs) I'm so glad Beaudee is growing so big! I can't wait to meet him! :-) Get ready to dress him up in OSU and BYU stuff all the time! HA!

Landon’s Letter

Hey so I got transfered this week to Hamilton Downtown. When I was in Stoney Creek we would go into Hamilton because part of our area was in Hamilton. Well part of Hamilton. It's known as Gotham and is pretty crazy. But I am excited to go back. I hope that I see some people from the Stoney Creek Ward there.

This week here in Windsor all of our investigators were dropped. We also didn't find any new investigators this week. So I really really feel bad for the new missionaries here. But we tried our hardest.

sorry there really isn't much to write this week and I am just trying to get things ready to go. I love you all

Rachel- I hope that things stay good for school!

Natalie & Jon- Keep up the good work you are doing.

Annie- That is awesome. Keep up the awesome work.

Megan & Justin- What did your dogs do this time? Hope you have a good week!

Mom- Yes I eat potatoes here don't worry. I have not turned down any food yet. haha

Dad- I hope that you get better soon.

I love you all

Love your favorite Brother, Son, and Elder
